Assam Police recovered huge Cache of Arms and ammunition in Tinsukia

Assam Police, on August 31, recovered huge cache of Arms and ammunition in Tinsukia district. The police recovered One Heckler & Koch SMG, 130 rounds Ammunition, 2 magazines and approximately one KG PEK explosive powder.

This recovered cache of arms and ammunition is suspected to belong to a banned organization along volatile Assam-Arunachal border. Today, Assam Director General of Police GP Singh has shared the details of recovered arms and ammunition, through social media.

He stated, “Continuing our efforts against unlawful weapon holding, One Heckler & Koch SMG, 130 rounds Ammunition, 2 magazines and approximately one KG PEK explosive powder recovered by Police in Tinsukia. Suspected of belonging to a proscribed organization active in Assam-Arunachal border.”
