The Assam Government has suspended five Assam Civil Services (ACS) officer for not following orders related to election duties.
According to information, these officers were recently transferred to election duties by the Election Commission but did not report for their tasks. Their transfer was part of regular administrative work, but they failed to comply with the orders.
The suspended officer identified as Konkonyoti Saikia, Prismita Dihingia, Jintu Sharma, Saroj Kumar Deka, and Kabya Shree Dihingia.
Assam government has also ordered a departmental inquiry against all the suspended officers to investigate the reason behind their failure to perform their assigned duties.
