Assam Kalpataru Scheme | Financial Assistance To BPL Families | Apply Now:-
The Kalpataru Scheme is an employment generating scheme of Government of Assam (Human Resource & development). The main goal of the scheme is to provide the unemployed youths a source of income generation through self-employment and to bring them above the poverty line. Under the kalpataru scheme, financial support is provided for self-employment in agriculture, industry and service sector. Educated unemployed of BPL families who have not availed government loans or assistance from other sources he can get benefits under this scheme. Financial assistance will be provide through cheque or bank loan.
Benefits of loan Scheme:
The Kalpataru Scheme provides benefits in the form of financial assistance to start self-business to unemployed youth of BPL families in the state. The structure of financial assistance is mentioned below. The scheme provides benefits in three components:-
Kalpataru Componene 1:
1) Maximum amount: RS 7,000 of loan can be given
2) Beneficiary contribution: Nil
3) Target area: Small enterprises like Piggery, Poultry, Rickshaw, Pan shop, Silk Worm Rearing, Saloon, Tailoring etc.
4) Eligibility: Unemployed youths from families having an annual income below RS 3,00,00
Kalpataru Component 2:
1) Minimum amount: RS 7,000-40,000
2) Beneficiary contribution: 20% (Or less if bank loan is more) means applicant need to contribute
3) Target area: Scheme normally taken up by the Assam Khadi village Industries Board & Rural Employment Guarantee Program
4) Eligibility: Unemployed youths with some financial resources and their families having an annual income below RS 60,000
Kalpataru Component 3:
1) Maximum amount: RS 40,000-75,000
2) Beneficiary contribution: 20% (or less if bank loan is more) means applicant need to contribute.
3) The Industry and Commerce Department typically finances and supports any medium type of microenterprise in the target area.
4) Eligibility: Unemployed youths with some financial resources to invest an annual family income below RS 60,000
How to apply Assam Kalpataru Scheme :
- The Deputy Commissioner invites applications through public advertisement and screens them for Component I and II.
- The General Manager of the District Industrial Centre (DIC) invites applications for Component III.
- A committee chaired by the Deputy Commissioner at the district level conducts the selection for all the components.
- Application form is available at your nearest DIC office.
