Assam Government is all set to launch Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan 2025 in 15 District. The scheme aim at empowering Woman across the state by providing them ₹10,000 seed money each to kickstart entrepreneurial ventures. The initiative will benefit over 30 lakh women across Assam, with a massive ₹3000 crore fund allocation. Woman who are a member of SHG group will get the benefit.
This initiative will be launched across 15 districts from August 22 to September 28 with distribution camps led by the Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, and other cabinet ministers.
Important Points of Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan 2025
Support of Money: Each Self-Help Group (SHG) member will receive ₹10,000 as initial business capital.
Target Beneficiaries: Over 30 lakh women entrepreneurs from rural and urban areas.
Total Investment: More than ₹3000 crore allocated by the Assam Government.
Entrepreneurship Sectors Covered: Agriculture, livestock rearing, handloom, handicrafts, food processing, and other small-scale businesses.

The benefit distribution will be carried out across 15 districts with senior leaders and ministers present at the events:

How Women Will Benefit
The scheme is expected to transform the economic landscape of Assam by:
- Helping women become self-reliant entrepreneurs.
- Encouraging local industry and traditional crafts.
- Boosting the rural economy through grassroots businesses.
- In the first year, each eligible member receives ₹10,000 upon meeting criteria.
- Over the two years, a combined sum of ₹25,000 is provided, with ₹12,500 from the government and ₹12,500 from the bank.
- The bank loan is repayable, while the government assistance is non-refundable.
- A total of ₹35,000 is distributed over three years to support eligible women in their journey to become “Lakhpati Baideos.”
