A tragic road accident at Nazira in the Sivasagar district of Assam claimed the lives of two youths on Tuesday night (December 2). The duo, who were returning from the Siu-Ka-Pha Divas cultural event, died on the spot after their motorcycle met with an accident at Panibil on the outskirts of Nazira town.
The deceased have been identified as Udit Das and Ashim Das, both residents of Darika Kaibartagaon.
The mishap occurred when their motorcycle (registration AS-04-AH-2674) reportedly lost control and veered into a roadside ditch at Panibil.
A team from Simaluguri Police Station reached the spot soon after being informed and recovered the bodies for post-mortem examination.
