Today, two dead bodies discovered from two different location of Katigorah, Cachar, which sends waves of panic through the area.
According to reports, the first dead body recovered from the banks of the Barak River, while the second was found along National Highway 6 near Kalaincherra. Local residents first discovered the dead bodies and immediately called the police. Cachar police immediately rushed to the scene and began an investigation.
Authorities have identified one of the deceased as Dawaan Shayla, a resident of Umkiang in Meghalaya. The identity of the other victim has not yet been confirmed.
Police officials stated that the circumstances surrounding both deaths remain unclear, and no signs of foul play have been ruled out at this stage. Both bodies have been sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Further investigation is going to know whether the two deaths are connected.
