The flames spread rapidly, and chaos ensued as guests struggled to escape through a single available exit.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that four individuals associated with the club have been arrested. He also announced an ex-gratia of ₹5 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for those injured. Authorities have additionally sealed another nightclub operated by the same management group.
Goa Police informed that all 25 bodies shifted to GMC Bambolim for identification. Five bodies have already handed over to their respective families. Among the six injured, one person discharged while the remaining continue to receive medical care.
A magisterial inquiry has been initiated to investigate possible lapses that may have contributed to the tragedy. The Goa government has also formed a dedicated team to ensure the smooth transportation of the deceased to their home states, including Assam, with all necessary assistance.
