Assam Government has launched Punya Tirtha Yojana on 12 February 2024 during 2024-25 budget session. Under this scheme a total of 25,000 devotee will sent to the Ram Mandir for darshan. Under this scheme government will provide free travel facility. Those who want to go Ram-Mandir for darshan they can apply for the scheme. Punya Tirtha Yojana Assam 2024

During the budget session on 12 February, 2024 the Financial Minister presented the scheme. During the budget presentation, the Assam Finance Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to the “Punya Dham” scheme. Under the scheme the revered destinations like Puri, Vrindavan, and Varanasi will facilitates. By emphasizing its continuity, the Finance Minister affirmed that the scheme would persist in the coming year as well, offering pilgrims the chance to undertake meaningful spiritual journeys.

FM added “In addition, this year, I am announcing “Punya Tirtha Yojana” and we would facilitate pilgrimage of 25000 devotees to Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, with a budgetary provision of Rs. 25 crore”.

A significant allocation of Rs. 240 crore has been assigned to preserve both the interior and exterior structures of the esteemed Batadrava. Additionally, as part of the Punya Tirtha Yojana, a total of 25,000 devotees will be sent to the Ram Mandir.

The aims of the project is to strengthen spiritual connections and foster cultural unity, with a significant budget of Rs 25 crore allocated for it.
