The Parijat Hotel R@id created panic in Lathigram on Tuesday night. The incident unfolded around 9:30 PM. A 16-year-old girl, missing for nearly three months, was finally found inside the hotel.
Soon after, tension spread quickly across the area. Locals gathered in large numbers. Protests broke out. Some people even vandalised property. The situation turned volatile within minutes.
However, police reached the spot in time. They managed to control the unrest.
How the Girl Was Traced
The girl belongs to the Gosai Pur GP area under Udharbond. She had gone missing months ago. Her family had already filed a complaint at Udharbond Police Station.
On Tuesday, things took a sudden turn. Family members reportedly spotted her inside a car. The vehicle was linked to the hotel owner. This raised immediate suspicion.
Without delay, the family followed the car. They saw the girl being taken to Parijat Hotel in Lathigram. She was then moved into a room.
The family quickly informed the police. Meanwhile, news spread fast. As a result, a crowd gathered outside the hotel.
Shortly after, locals entered the premises. They managed to rescue the girl from one of the rooms. This moment intensified the situation further.
