The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Cachar, Silchar will hold National Lok Adalat on 14th June, 2025, at District Court Campus, Silchar. The Lok Adalat will commence at 9:30 AM. Lok Adalat is part of a national program on legal aid to provide speedy resolution of disputes through mutual settlement/ compromise.
This district-wide event aims to settle a wide range of pending and pre-litigation cases through mutual agreement and compromise between the parties involved.
Cases that will taken up include:
- Civil disputes
- Compoundable GR and PRC cases
- Electricity Act cases
- Cheque bounce cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act
- Motor vehicle accident claims
- Matrimonial disputes
- MACT cases, and more.
Disputes involving government and corporate entities like APDCL, BSNL and various banks will also be considered for pre-litigation settlement.
