It is one of the most joyful festivals as the farmers get their rewards after months of hard work. Magh Bihu is a time to give thanks for a good harvest and celebrate Assam’s rich farming tradition.

When is Bhogali Bihu?

According to Bengali Panjika, Magh Bihu is observed in the first day of Magh month. This year Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu falls on January 15. Makar Sankranti fall on January 14, and the subh Muhurat falls from 9 am.
