Lakshmir Bhandar Prakalpa Scheme In West Bengal:-
Lakshmir Bhandar scheme is also known as the Lakhir Bhandar. This is a financial assistance scheme or monthly income scheme for the female head of a family in West Bengal.
The West Bengal Govt. will provide RS 500 for general category & RS 1,000 for SC/ST category for monthly basis of the families who has a low monthly income in this scheme.
The scheme will be launched keeping in mind the state monthly average consumption expenditure in a household is RS 5249.
Eligibility Criteria for The Lakshmir Bhandar scheme :
Some eligibility criteria for the scheme are as follows:-
- Applicant must be a citizen of West Bengal.
- Applicant must not be a permanent job.
- Casual workers are allowed to apply under the scheme.
- Age of the applicant must be between 25-60.
- Only women head of the family is eligible for the scheme.
- General Category families with at least one tax-paying member is not eligible for the scheme.
- All families of SC/ST category are eligible for the scheme.
- General category families with more than 2 hectares of land are not eligible for the scheme.

- Aadhar Card
- Ration Card
- Residential Proof
- Age proof
- Caste Certificate
- Bank details
- Swasthyasathi Card.
- Mobile number
- Passport size photo
Benefits of the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme :
- 500 for the general category and RS 1000 for the SC/ST category for monthly basis.
- The budget allocated under the scheme is RS 12,900 crores.
- The scheme is expect to boost the rural urban economies of the state.
- Only the female head of the family will received the benefits.
How to Apply Scheme :
The Govt. of West Bengal will soon re-launch the “Duare Sarkar” Scheme. You can submit the application form directly through these “Duare Sarkar” Camps.
Once you submit your application through the Duare Sarkar camps, you can easily check the Lakshmir Bhandar status.
Any online application portal has not been announced as of now.
Verification of the Application :
- The applications so received at the Duare Sarkar camps will be duly enquired into as per Duare Sarkar modalities by government officiala only authorized for the purpose.
- After verification, the Block Development Officer in the rural area or the Sub-Divisional Officer in urban area, as the case may be, shall enter the application on the portal, verify and recommend the list of eligible applicants to the District Magistrate for sanction.
- In case of the areas falling within the jurisdiction of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the same process will complete by the Commissioner, Kolkata Muncipal Corporation.
