Katigorah Attack Leaves Woman Critically Injured in Village Assault

A violent Katigorah attack has created panic in a village under Katigorah police station. The incident took place on Sunday morning around 11 AM in Tintikori village. A woman was seriously injured after an alleged assault by her neighbours.

According to local sources, the accused suddenly entered the victim’s house. Soon after, they launched a brutal attack. The woman, identified as Rachmina Begum, suffered severe injuries. Her hand was reportedly broken during the assault.

Moreover, the attackers allegedly used sharp objects. As a result, the situation turned more dangerous. Hearing her cries, two of her sisters-in-law rushed to help. However, they were also attacked and injured in the process.

Initially, the injured woman was taken to Katigorah Model Hospital with the help of police. However, doctors advised immediate referral. Therefore, she was shifted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.

Police Begin Probe After Complaint

Following the incident, the victim filed an FIR at Katigorah police station. She has accused three neighbours of the attack. The accused include Ilal Uddin, Tafajjal Ali, and Karima Khatun.

Meanwhile, police have started an investigation based on the complaint. Officials confirmed that necessary action will be taken after proper inquiry.

This Katigorah attack has once again raised serious concerns about rising local disputes turning violent. Residents of the area remain tense. At the same time, the victim’s family is demanding strict punishment for the accused.
