Kashmiri Doctor Arrested in Faridabad with 360 Kg Explosives, Arms & Ammo

In a major breakthrough, police on Monday (November 10, 2025) arrested a Kashmiri doctor from Faridabad, recovering around 360 kilograms of explosives, suspected to be ammonium nitrate, along with a large cache of arms and ammunition from his rented accommodation.

The operation was conducted jointly by the Faridabad Police and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The accused has been identified as Muzammil Shakeel, a faculty member at Al-Falaha University, officials said.

According to Faridabad Police Commissioner Satender Kumar Gupta, the arrested doctor was also wanted in connection with putting up posters supporting the banned terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Srinagar.

During the search operation, police recovered 360 kg of suspected ammonium nitrate, one Carom Cok rifle, two automatic pistols, 84 cartridges, five litres of chemicals, 20 battery-fitted timers, a walkie-talkie set and batteries and 14 bags from the accused’s room.

Authorities confirmed that the seized materials have been sent for forensic examination, and further investigation is underway to determine the accused’s links and possible terror connections.
