India has reached a historic milestone in women’s healthcare, securing three Guinness World Records under the nationwide Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, Union Health Minister JP Nadda announced on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nadda wrote:
“A Record-Breaking Milestone for Women’s Health! IN India achieves three GUINNESS WORLD RECORDTM title under the nationwide #SwasthNariSashaktParivarAbhiyaan, reaffirming our commitment to preventive and women-centric healthcare.”
The large-scale campaign was held from September 17 to October 2, 2025, in line with Poshan Maah, focusing on preventive and women-centric healthcare across the nation. The initiative aimed to improve the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children — promoting early detection of health issues, ensuring access to essential services, and fostering family empowerment for a healthier India.
According to the minister, the campaign witnessed over 19.7 lakh health camps conducted across every district of India, drawing a massive footfall of more than 11 crore people. This unprecedented participation helped India secure three Guinness World Records, setting a new global benchmark in community health mobilisation.
Calling it a proud achievement, Nadda said,
“This record-breaking accomplishment is a proud stride towards a Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar, and Viksit Bharat,”
The achievement reinforces the government’s continued focus on women’s empowerment as the foundation of a healthier, stronger, and more developed India.
