History of Friendship Day 2024
In the year of 1920, Joyce Hall first proposed the idea of friendship day. The first official Friendship Day was proposed to be on August 2, 1920. The idea dedicated to celebrate friendship by sending greeting cards.
In the year 2011, United Nations recognized the importance of friendship as noble and sentiment bonds of human life. So, on July 30 the International friendship day is celebrated.
But in India and United states recognized Friendship on the first Sunday of the month August every year.
How to celebrate Friendship Day? Some ideas are given below
- Plan for outing: Go Outing somewhere with your friends like hiking, to see waterfall near your location, go for picnic.
- Exchange gifts: Give thoughtful gift which will remind you create some cards to give your friends.
