The Government of Puducherry has introduced a scheme name Grant of House Construction Subsidy to Schedule Caste People by the Adi Dravidar welfare Department . Through this scheme the poor schedule caste people as well as other economically backward class people are provided house construction subsidy by the Government.
Benefits of the House Construction Subsidy Scheme
Under the House Construction Subsidy Scheme the Government provide subsidy amount of Rs.4,00,000. The amount of subsidy is granted by 3 installments.
1st Installment of ₹1,50,000/- on possession of vacant house site.
2nd Installment of ₹1,50,000/-.
3rd Installment of ₹1,00,000/-.
The building materials worth ₹1,00,000/- will also be provided.
The number of beneficiaries to be assisted annually will align with the predetermined physical target outlined in the action plan.

Eligibility Criteria for Grant of House Construction Subsidy
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- The applicant must be a native or permanent resident of the Union Territory of Pondicherry.
- The applicant must not own a house.
- The applicant must belong to either the Scheduled Caste or the Other Economically Backward Class.
For Schedule Cast (SC)
- The applicant must possess a house site with an area of at least 450 sq.ft for building the house.
- The annual income of the applicant should not exceed ₹2,00,000/-.
For Other Backward Class
- The applicant must possess a house site granted by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department.
- The annual income of the applicant should not exceed ₹24,000/-.

How to apply Offline Grant of House Construction Subsidy
- Step 1: Visit the Office/ Sub-Office of the Adi Dravidar Welfare and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department during office hours. Now request the designated employ for the prescribed format of the application form from.
- Step 2: Fill the application form completely will all personal details, with a passport-sized photograph, and attach Xerox copies of all required documents with self-attest.
- Step 3: Submit the fill up form and signed application form along with the documents to the relevant authority.
- Step 4: Lastly take a receipt or acknowledgment from the authority which will confirm submission.
How to apply Online
- Step 1: First go through the Official Website of the e-District Portal of the Government of Puducherry.
- Step 2: Click on “Login” located at the top right corner of the homepage. After that, select “Register a New Membership” on the login screen and click.
- Step 3: Complete the Registration Page by providing all mandatory details such as Username, Password, Confirm Password, Personal Information (Full Name, First Name, Email Address, Address, Current Address, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile Number), and agree to the declaration. Enter the Captcha Code and click to “Signup”.
- Step 4: After registration, again return to the Home page of the Official Website of the e-District Portal of the Government of Puducherry.
- Step 5: Again Click on “Login” at the top right corner of the homepage. Enter your Username and Password on the login screen that you got it during registration, input the Captcha Code, and click “Sign In”.
- Step 6: After signing in, a list of schemes will be seen that offered by the Government of Puducherry categorized by department will be displayed.
- Step 7: Select the scheme that you want to apply for.
- Step 8: Complete by filling up all details in the application form and upload any necessary documents.
- Step 9: Submit the application and make note of the application number for tracking purposes. After the application you will also receive the application number via SMS or email on your Registered Mobile Number or Email ID.
