Financial Assistance for Widow is a welfare scheme of Govt. of NCT of Delhi to provide social security by way of financial assistance to widows, divorced, separated, abandoned deserted women in the age of 18 years to lifelong who do not have adequate means of subsistence and are poor, needy and vulnerable.
Eligibility Criteria for the Financial Assistance for Widow Scheme
Some eligibility criteria for the scheme are as follows :-
- A women who is a widow, divorced, separated, abandoned, women above the age of 18 years.
- Applicant should have the Aadhaar number.
- Annual income of application should be less than RS 100000 per annum from all sources of the applicant.
- Residence of minimum 5 years in Delhi before the date of application.
- Applicant must not be receiving any pension or financial assistance from central government or State government / MCD or NDMC and other Governmental or local bodies or any source for this purpose.
- The applicant should have single-operated Aadhaar linked account with any bank in NCT of Delhi only.
Documents Required for the Financial Assistance for Widow Scheme
- Aadhaar Card
- Residence proof of last 5 years residence in Delhi
- Age proof
- Proof of death of husband / divorced/ separation paper/ any other document which establishes abandoned/ separation.
- Passport size photo
- Bank passbook
- Caste certificate, If any
- Bank account number in Delhi only
- Income certificate.
How to Apply
- Application to be made online on e-District Portal (Delhi)
- Log In this official Website
- Under citizen corner click on new user
- Click on select the document – Aadhaar or Voter ID
- Enter the Aadhaar Card number / Voter ID number
- Type the captcha in the box shown
Citizen Registration Form will open
- Fill up all fields including details of Present Residential Address.
- Enter captcha and click on continue
- Log In ID & Password will be received on given mobile number e-mail address
- Now Registration on e-district portal is complete
