Commercial LPG Cut Brings Major Relief as Prices Drop Up to ₹183.50 from July 1

The much-awaited LPG Cut has finally arrived. From July 1, commercial LPG cylinder prices have been reduced by up to ₹183.50. As a result, businesses across India are set to get some breathing space. Restaurants, hotels, dhabas, and small eateries will benefit the most.

Earlier this year, prices kept rising. However, this time the trend has reversed. Oil marketing companies announced the fresh rates, bringing relief after months of pressure on commercial users.

Sharp Price Drop Across Cities

Delhi has seen the biggest reduction. The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has dropped by ₹183.50. It now costs ₹2,930 instead of ₹3,113.50. Similarly, Lucknow also witnessed a cut of ₹183.50, bringing the new price to ₹3,052.50.

Meanwhile, Kolkata recorded a drop of ₹174. The revised price stands at ₹3,081.50. In Patna, the new rate is ₹3,227. So, across major cities, businesses will now spend less on fuel.

Relief After Continuous Hikes

Since January 2026, LPG prices had gone up several times. For instance, prices increased sharply in May, April, and March. Even in June, rates were raised again. These hikes added pressure on business owners.

However, the latest LPG Cut changes the situation. It comes at a time when global fuel prices had surged due to geopolitical tensions. Now, with this reduction, operational costs may come down. This could also help stabilize food prices in some sectors.

On the other hand, domestic users did not get any relief. The price of 14.2-kg cylinders remains unchanged. In Delhi, it continues at ₹942. Other cities like Lucknow, Kolkata, and Patna also see no change.

So, while commercial users gain, households must wait longer for relief.

Overall, the price cut offers timely support to businesses. Moreover, it may boost small and medium enterprises that depend heavily on LPG.
