CBSE Conducts Surprise Checks in 10 Schools Across Six States, Including Assam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has carried out surprise inspections in 10 schools across six states and Union Territories, including Assam. This inspection taken to ensure strict compliance with board rules.

According to officials, the inspections were aimed at verifying that schools follow CBSE bye-laws, avoid enrolling students who do not attend classes, and maintain the required academic and physical infrastructure.

The checks were conducted in Assam, Delhi, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha. Ten inspection teams, made up of CBSE officers and principals from affiliated schools, visited the institutions without prior notice to preserve the element of surprise and gather accurate information.

A senior CBSE official said that reports from these inspections are now being reviewed, and necessary actions will be taken against any schools found violating norms.

“CBSE remains committed to maintaining high educational standards and will continue to take strict action against any breaches of regulations,” the official added.
