Assam ST Pre-Metric and Post Matric Scholarship 2024: The Directorate of Tribal Affairs, Assam has opened the application process for the pre-matric (class-IX and Class-X) and post matric scholarship for 2024-2025. The interested candidate can apply online through official website of NSP or NSP OTR app. The online application has already started, those who want to apply online, apply before August 31, 2024 for Pre-Matric Scholarship and Post Matric must apply before October 31, 2024. The main aim of the scholarship is to support schedule tribes (ST) student in academic career to pursuit high education.
Directorate of Tribal Affairs, Assam has underscored the government’s commitment to provide quality education to the students of ST.
Who are eligible for Assam ST Pre-Metric and Post Matric Scholarship 2024?
For ST Pre-Matric Scholarship:
Class IX and X students are eligible with an annual family income limit of 2.50 lakh. The last date of application is August 31, 2024.
For ST Post Matric Student:
Post Matric Students are eligible with an annual family income limit of 2.50 lakh. The last date of online application is October 31, 2024.
Document required
- Aadhar Card and a mobile number during registration and generating QTP.
- Income certificate of parents/ guardians issued by circle revenue officer of the area, showing annual income.
- Caste Certificate issued by the district commissioner of their respective district. In case if the applicant name or surname in the applicants is differ than he/she should submit an affidavit duly notarized justifying the differences.
- Student valid Bank Account which link by Aadhar Card number of the students only or applicants for the seamless disbursal of scholarships.
How to apply Online for Assam ST Pre-Metric and Post Matric Scholarship 2024
- First go through the official website of NSP (national scholarship portal) or download the NSP OTP app and open the app.
- Click on apply now, new page will appear
- Click on the registration option for new applicant
- A face-authentication process will be conducted to obtain one time registration (OTR) number and it is mandatory for all applicants from 2024-25 academic year. Applicants also need to provide mobile number for the OTP.
- After the face authentication give all the required details and upload images for the application.
