Again, job scam surfaced in Assam, but this time in Golaghat for railway job. A Man identified as Champak Bora has accused of duping multiple people with false promise of Job premises in Indian Railways. He collect lakh of rupees from multiple individuals over the past few years by promising to provide them permanent or contractual jobs in the Railway department.

According to complaints filed by victim, Bora reportedly collaborated with an associate named Inamul Haque, who acted as a middleman to approach job seekers. The duo allegedly enticed candidates with offers of quick appointments and the regularisation of temporary workers at the Railway goods shed.

Some of the victims stated that they paid substantial amount in some cases running into several lakhs — but never received the promised jobs. Despite waiting for years, they say neither employment nor refunds materialised, prompting them to file official complaints with the police.

Further investigation is going on.
