The Directorate of Tribal Affairs (Plain), Government of Assam, has invited applications for the Pre-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students studying in Classes I to VIII for the academic year 2025–26. This scheme is meant for ST students enrolled in government, provincialised, recognised, or model lower primary and upper primary schools across the state.
Eligibility Criteria for ST Pre-Matric Scholarship
- The annual income of the parents or guardians must not exceed ₹50,000.
- Only ST students studying from Class I to Class VIII are eligible to apply.
Scholarship Amount
- Eligible students will receive an annual scholarship of ₹1,200.

After submitting the online form, applicants must download the acknowledgment slip and submit it to their respective educational institutions on or before December 30, 2025.
