Assam Police arrested two man in connection with separate incidents that occurred in the aftermath of Zubeen Garg ‘s death.
The first arrested made in Baksa district, where Md Rasim Ali was arrested after being identified in visuals near the DY365 OB Van that caught fire during the October 15 incident in Baksa district. During questioning, Rasim Ali claimed he was not a fan of the late singer and distanced himself from the actions of Zubeen Garg’s supporters. Police have confirmed that a detailed probe into his involvement in the incident is underway.
In another case, Md Injamul Hoque (27), son of Rowsot Uddin of Telia Bebejia under Juria Police Station in Nagaon district, was arrested for uploading a controversial video on Facebook under the pseudonym “SK Ahmad” on October 15, 2025. The video, related to Zubeen Garg ’s death, reportedly contained inflammatory content. Hoque admitted to obtaining the original clip from an OTT platform and adding provocative comments before posting it online.
Police stated that both cases are under investigation.
