Selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Band-2 ranging from ₹14,000 to ₹70,000, along with Grade Pay of ₹6,200 and other admissible allowances.
Reservation:
Reservation for Land Records Assistant Recruitment, different categories will follow the existing Government of Assam reservation policies. Detailed vacancy distribution will be announced before the written examination.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed HSLC (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
In addition, applicants must have successfully completed the Recorder Certificate Class Course (RCCC) from the Assam Survey and Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati.
Computer Skills
Applicants should have basic computer knowledge and must demonstrate a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in either Assamese or Bengali.
Age Limit
Candidates must meet the following age criteria:
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 40 years
The age will be calculated as of 1 January 2025. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government norms.

Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of two main stages.
1. Written Examination
Applicants whose forms meet the eligibility criteria will be called for a competitive written examination conducted in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format.
2. Skill Test
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be required to appear for a computer proficiency skill test. Original documents will also be verified during this stage.
Examination Pattern
The recruitment examination will carry a total of 100 marks divided into two components.
Written Examination (80 Marks)
The written test will consist of objective questions from the following subjects:
- Mathematics (Class X level): 10 marks
- Conventional Survey: 50 marks
- Modern Survey: 20 marks
A negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for every incorrect answer.
Skill Test (20 Marks)
The skill test will evaluate:
- Assamese or Bengali Unicode typing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Document preparation and formatting
- Data entry and file handling
- Printing operations
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates must secure the following minimum marks to qualify:
- UR Category: 32 marks in Written Test and 8 marks in Skill Test
- Reserved Categories: 24 marks in Written Test and 6 marks in Skill Test
