AAP Leadership Shake-Up: Raghav Chadha Replaced by Ashok Mittal in Rajya Sabha

The AAP leadership has made a key change in the Rajya Sabha. The party has replaced Raghav Chadha as deputy leader. Now, Ashok Mittal will take over the role.

The decision was communicated through an official letter. It was sent to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. However, the party has not publicly shared the reason behind the move.

At present, AAP has 10 members in the Rajya Sabha. Out of these, seven are from Punjab, while three represent Delhi. This makes the Upper House presence significant for the party.

Meanwhile, leadership changes like this often signal internal strategy shifts. It may also reflect a new direction ahead of upcoming political challenges.

Market concerns raised amid global tensions

Even after this AAP leadership update, Raghav Chadha remains active in Parliament. Recently, he spoke about the impact of global tensions on India’s stock market.

He pointed out a sharp decline in investor wealth. According to him, nearly ₹48 lakh crore has been wiped out since the West Asia conflict began.

Furthermore, he described the situation as a “Black Swan event.” In simple terms, this means a sudden and unexpected crisis. He stressed that the issue is external. It is not linked to India’s economic fundamentals.

As a result, market volatility has increased. Investors are feeling the pressure. Therefore, Chadha urged the government to step in. He called for relief measures for retail investors.

In conclusion, while the leadership reshuffle grabs attention, economic concerns remain equally important. Both developments highlight how politics and markets often move side by side.
