Hatigaon Police in Guwahati arrested four Afghan Nationals for illegal staying in India. The arrested were made during a raid at a rented house where they were staying near Little Flower School in the Hatigaon area.
The arrested Afghan Nationals identified as Aman Khan, Rizwan Khan, Yusuf Zahid and Asif Rana. As per police sources, all four were staying in Assam since 2015 without any valid documentation authorizing their stay in the country.
During the search operation, police managed to recovered several objectional and suspicious documents, where they running unauthorized money-lending business in Guwahati.
A case has been registered under Hatigaon Police Station Case number 112/25. Further investigation is going on to trace their activities and possible links.
The city police are currently investigating how the individuals entered the country and remained undetected for such an extended period.
